DehumidifierTips.com is a reader-supported site. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, which means that if you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer. This costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same either way.
Programs we participate in
DehumidifierTips.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We also participate in affiliate programs run by other retailers and dehumidifier manufacturers.
How commissions affect what we write
They do not decide what we recommend. We are not paid by any manufacturer to feature or rank their products, and no brand reviews our content before it is published. When a product is genuinely the wrong choice for a situation, we say so, including when the honest answer is that you do not need to buy anything at all.
We do earn more on some products than others. Commercial and whole-house units carry higher commissions than a $150 portable. Because of that, we make a point of telling you when a cheaper unit will do the same job.
What we do not do
We do not claim to have physically tested products we have not tested. Our comparisons are built from published manufacturer specifications, DOE and AHAM capacity ratings, Energy Star data, warranty terms and patterns in verified owner reviews. Our research methodology explains exactly how this works and where its limits are.
